That is why we are proud to present a project – the development and implementation of a complete PLC/HMI application for automating a bread production line, carried out in collaboration with Jevtić Bakery.
This project is special because it not only automates the production process but also raises the standards in the bakery industry, guaranteeing top-quality bread produced with the highest level of precision and efficiency.
System planning and design
The process began with a detailed analysis of the client's needs. The goal was to create a solution that would enable:
- High production capacity
- Consistency in product quality
- Energy efficiency
- Simple management and process monitoring
Based on these requirements, the system architecture was defined, appropriate equipment selected, and software developed to meet the needs of the production line.
Technology behind the project
One of the key aspects of this project was the use of state-of-the-art technologies that ensure maximum efficiency and reliability:
- PLC: Siemens S7-1500 – the heart of the system, known for its processing speed, flexibility, and robustness. This PLC allows rapid data processing and efficient management of complex processes.
- Frequency Converters: Lenze and Yaskawa – integrated via the ProfiNet network. These solutions enable optimal control of motor speed and performance, which is crucial for achieving uniform and high-quality production.
- Siemens HMI (Human Machine Interface): An intuitive and user-friendly interface designed for operators. It provides easy monitoring and process management, reducing the need for additional employee training and increasing productivity.
After implementing the hardware and software components, we focused on system optimization. The key success factors included:
- Real-time synchronization of all devices, achieving flawless coordination between different parts of the production line.
- Energy efficiency, by reducing energy consumption without compromising capacity or quality.
- High system reliability through the implementation of safety mechanisms and redundancy.
The commissioning was performed in accordance with the highest industrial standards, and testing of the entire line showed impressive results in terms of speed, precision, and quality of the final product.
